Dear colleagues and guests!

It's time we said goodbye to the year of 2009 so that soon it will become our history as a chapter. But before we greet the year of 2010, I would like all of us to recall our achievements, of which many will contribute to our growth.

We are a small chapter of a national organization that continues to create great leaders. New ground has once again been broken with the forging of new student chapters. New attitudes have been pioneered from the chapter to ASCET nationally. The secret of our chapter's success is our focus on people and progress. We depend on the commitment of our membership for much of our ambitions to come into fruition.

Developing new programs to be launched in 2010 has been a goal, and this year we will able to gain ground on the development of training programs for certification exams. Our new goal is to locally produce seminars and training sessions to provide our members with preparation for NICET certification. The support of ASCET and members like you, despite the financial crisis, helps us achieve this goal in the nearest future.

I am happy to say that I believe we are well positioned for the future. We are planning to open new chapters throughout the region. We are planning to promote membership and mentorship from technicians. We are extending our presence in the engineering community. We are ready to cooperate with other organizations and we hope to arrive at mutual understanding of the importance of the engineering team.

I want to thank all of you, fellow members, for your support. It is so meaningful to us because we depend on many of you for input. But all this is not a big sacrifice, due to your understanding, because we have results, because we are successful, because you are always by our side.

What can we expect from ASCET this year?

Come and see. You can make a lasting impact on the chapter, on ASCET, and on the local and national engineering community promoting the engineering team.
